I don’t like categorizing toys into “girl toys” and “boy toys,” but marketers don’t really feel the same way as me. I’m not opposed to buying “girly” toys for Ruthie, and she already has a pretty impressive collection of nail polishes and frilly dresses. However, I try as much as possible to make sure that she has variety in what she has to play with. I want her to enjoy the toys she wants to enjoy, no matter who they are marketed toward.

These are a few of my favorite gender-neutral toys that Ruthie loves to play with on a regular basis. Click through the images to see captions with toy details.
